The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has a new designation, and the acronym LJ  stands for “Long Jeep.”

This name marks the period of the mid 2000’s as a more stable Jeep with a longer wheelbase than the standard Jeep TJ.

The Wrangler LJ is a full fifteen inches longer, with the added length impacting its performance in multiple ways:  a ride smoother, increased towing capability and better city handling.

The Jeep LJ is a fairly rare Jeep, and heavily sought after on the aftermarket. A brand new hardtop on your LJ does wonders to its looks, not to mention the resale value.
