Jeep CJ-5 1955-1983 Introduced by The
Kaiser Corporation, the CJ-5 was based on the
Korean War model M-38A1.
Jeep CJ-8 1981-1986 Commonly known as the
Scrambler, was introduced in 1981 by AMC. AMC’s intent
was to use the tried and true CJ series as a compact
pickup truck. The CJ-8 had a 5 foot bed with a 1400 lb.
payload. All models were fitted with a half soft top or a
half hard top, full top were not offered in the USA.
Jeep Wrangler TJ 1997-2006 The 1997 Jeep Wrangler
looks very similar to the CJ-7, indeed its “retro” look is quite
deliberate, but it is almost totally different mechanically. The
totally new interior includes driver and passenger air bags.
The Wrangler TJ retains several “classic” Jeep features such
as round headlights, a fold-down windscreen , removable
doors and a factory fitted roll bar

Jeep CJ-7 1976-1986 American Motors
Corporation introduced the seventh generation of the
civilian Jeep, the CJ-7. For the first time, the CJ-7 offered
an optional molded plastic top and steel doors
Jeep Wrangler YJ 1987-1995 In 1986 AMC introduced
the Jeep Wrangler YJ. Responding to consumers
trends towards “creature comfort features” associated
with passenger cars. AMC discontinued the CJ series
and by introducing the YJ series. This was the first and
last Jeep introduced with square headlights.
Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2004-2006 The Jeep
Wrangler Unlimited adds versatility to the Jeep icon, with
15 inches added to its overall length. The Jeep Wrangler
Unlimited delivers 13 inches more cargo area and two
inches more second-row leg room.
