In 1989 the Isuzu Amigo was introduced and there was nothing cuter.

This little sport truck captured the hearts of millions, and many people who had never previously owned a truck bought this little beauty.

It was one of the original sport utility vehicles, placing emphasis on the sport part of the designation, rather than utility.

Regardless of its power it was loved for the simplicity and ease of getting around.

Parking in tight spots was not a problem and this little baby just makes you want to give it a big hug.

Like a Chihuahua this truck is a great companion, but is a bit limited in activities.

We will always love the Isuzu Amigo, and will always make fiberglass hardtops for it to keep you warm and dry when you are navigating the wild urban environment.

    Our hardtops are painted with a single stage UV resistant paint. Black is our standard color. White and Tan are optional at an additional charge.

    The side windows and rear hatch are DOT Approved tempered safety glass.

    The hardtop windows and rear hatch are tinted 31% to the maximum allowable by law.

  • Fully Carpeted
    The inside of our tops are finished in a mildew resistant gray carpet. This not only looks great, but it helps keep the road noise out.

    Our use of “Weather Guard” drastically cuts the interior noise level. You can carry on a conversation without raising your voice. Your sound systems will sound better.

  • Weather Insulated
    Our use of “Weather Guard” also insulates the interior from the outside elements. Your air conditioners and heaters will be much more efficient.

  • Rear Hatch Opens with Dual Gas Struts
    Your rear hatch will come up with a flick of the wrist, by extra strong gas props. They are guaranteed to keep your rear hatch up, even during off-roading.

  • Comes with All Necessary Hardware to Install Your Hardtop

Your Rally Tops hardtop will come with all the necessary parts to complete your installation. To safely lift and install this hardtop, you will need the assistance of at least one other person.

Follow the instructions and perform the steps in the sequence given. Short cuts to the directions may result in an unsatisfactory installation.

The following instructions are examples of the installation. Please follow the instructions that are included with your Rally Top.

Add-ons – Roof Rack Standard

75-pound load capacity (evenly distributed on crossbar assemblies). WARNING: This product is not recommended for carrying Kayaks, Canoes, Jon Boats, or any other large, bulky, or extremely long items.

  • User-friendly, unlimited crossbar adjustment: Unlike many "OE" or aftermarket racks, the crossbar adjustment system allows quick positioning of both crossbars to precisely fit various load dimensions.
  • Adaptable to roof contours: Patented crossbar-to-track connection system allows tracks to pivot, matching the vehicle roof contours for easy installation and crossbar adjustments.
  • Durable crossbars and supports are manufactured from T-6 tempered aluminum extrusions and UV-stable, aftermarket quality nylon molded components.

Brake Light

The brake light is a surface mounted LED light. It comes with splices and hardware to install. If you are not familiar with auto circuitry, it is advisable to consult with a professional for installation.

Battery-powered Dome Light

Battery operated LED light. Four times the light output of an incandescent battery light. No bulbs to replace and the batteries that last longer. Three powerful LEDs deliver 51 lumens of light and can run for days on one nine volt battery. (Battery not included)

The Generation 1 Amigo was introduced in the spring of 1989. Isuzu’s Japanese-built compact sport-utility vehicle focused more on sport than on the utility end. The Amigo came with a 2-wheel or on demand 4-wheel drive and a choice of engines. All versions had two side doors and a side-opening tailgate, which held a full size tire. Production of the cute little Isuzu Amigo ended with the 1994 model year.

Isuzu revived the Amigo, in fresh form for the 1998 model year. The Generation 2 Amigo, had a semi-convertible body, with a folding soft top over the back seat, as well as a pop-up sunroof. There is also a glass-window hardtop model for those who want more weather protection than the soft top affords. (This non-removable hardtop, is not meant to be removed).

In 2001, this spunky little two-door sport-utility got a name change to Rodeo Sport. It remained in production until 2003, when production ended.

These are oversized items and require non-standard delivery services. Shipping rates are subject to review. Freight cost are additional. Your hardtop will be shipped via a common carrier. After your top is shipped, we will contact you with a tracking number and the carrier’s name. The shipping company will contact you with a date and time for the delivery. At this time you can ask for additional services, such as lift gate service or inside delivery. These services are not covered by your prepaid freight charge. In other words, they cost extra and you will have to pay for them. Somebody needs to be present when your top arrives. You should have another person present to help you and the driver unload the top from the truck. You must inspect the top for damage, before you sign for it. You are signing that you received the top in good condition. So, it’s very important to open the box up, take your time to look inside and if it’s in good condition, sign for it. If the top is damaged, don’t sign for it. Refuse the shipment and call us at (800) 664-8677.

    Great top! For so long my Amigo had this weathered out soft top causing the rain and other elements to go into the vehicle and now it is well sealed and rain-free! Also great at keeping the noise out! Highly recommend to anyone with an Amigo!

    I have an ISUZU AMIGO 1993, which is under reconstruction.
    I am unable to buy the fiber hood from you. due to the value of your currency, the dollar compared to the “real” (Brazilian currency) is very incompatible with my financial reality (for most Brazilians) So, what is my request (more for an appeal): Could you send all the correct measurements of the hood of that Isuzu vehicle. Because? The solution I found is to make it myself in an aluminum sheet. I know it’s an absurd request … but trying doesn’t cost anything.
    I appreciate the attention and any answer I am happy.

    Just buy it amigo. You wont regret it. Reasonable price for a necessary upgrade if you live anywhere that gets regular rain and snow. Installation wasnt too difficult and i like the fact that they made the can light battery powered in order to simplify the installation. I ended up replacing mine with a led light that allows you to recharge with usb, change the color, and even make a light show with an app. the led somehow burned out prematurely. 1 star removed for this. Just buy it ese!!

    I bought this hard top way back in 2009. For an 89 Isuzu Amigo its still looks great the only thing is that it sit so long that the weather strip between the lift window and the tailgate has deteriorated! I have contacted the customer service and they were awesome to give me a part number to replace the hardtop weather stripping! I would strongly recommend any soft top suv a second option when it comes to replacing the worn out rag tops!

    Awesome top! I bought my hardtop 3.5 years ago to replace a leaking soft top. It has been awesome. The only problem I had was the adhesive holding the carpet interior failed and the carpet began to hang. But I took it to an auto upholstery shop and they used some super upholstery adhesive to glue it back up. I absolutely love the hardtop and the tinted glass on my Amigo. I would love to post a couple pics but it does not give me the option.
