The Scrambler

This new Jeep model was a bit more sophisticated than the WWII era CJ5 and had a longer wheelbase with a bigger rear pickup bed area.

The Jeep Scrambler had a relatively limited production run and are relatively rare.  And coveted.

    Our hardtops are painted with a single stage UV resistant paint. Black is our standard color. White and Tan are optional at an additional charge.

  • Rear Hatch Opens with Dual Gas Struts

Your Rally Tops hardtop will come with all the necessary parts to complete your installation. To safely lift and install this hardtop, you will need the assistance of at least one other person.

Follow the instructions and perform the steps in the sequence given. Short cuts to the directions may result in an unsatisfactory installation.

Brake Light

The brake light is a surface mounted LED light. It comes with splices and hardware to install. If you are not familiar with auto circuitry, it is advisable to consult with a professional for installation.

Battery operated LED light. Four times the light output of an incandescent battery light. No bulbs to replace and the batteries that last longer. Three powerful LEDs deliver 51 lumens of light and can run for days on one nine volt battery. (Battery not included)

The Jeep CJ-8, commonly known as the Jeep Scrambler, was introduced in 1981 by AMC. AMC’s intent was to use the tried and true CJ series as a compact pickup truck.

The CJ8 had a 5 foot truck bed with a 1400lb payload. All Scrambler models were fitted with a half soft top or a half hard top. The full top was not offered on Jeeps in the United States.

Having a Jeep Scrambler with a truck bed is really quite cool. And now it is a vintage model, but like all Jeeps this just means it is getting broken in. Whatever you throw at it (or in it!) the Scrambler will just keep on crawling along.

These are oversized items and require non-standard delivery services. Shipping rates are subject to review. Freight cost are additional. Your hardtop will be shipped via a common carrier. After your top is shipped, we will contact you with a tracking number and the carrier’s name. The shipping company will contact you with a date and time for the delivery. At this time you can ask for additional services, such as lift gate service or inside delivery. These services are not covered by your prepaid freight charge. In other words, they cost extra and you will have to pay for them. Somebody needs to be present when your top arrives. You should have another person present to help you and the driver unload the top from the truck. You must inspect the top for damage, before you sign for it. You are signing that you received the top in good condition. So, it’s very important to open the box up, take your time to look inside and if it’s in good condition, sign for it. If the top is damaged, don’t sign for it. Refuse the shipment and call us at (800) 664-8677.
Return Policy

We strive to deliver 100% customer satisfaction on your CJ8 hardtop. If for any reason you are not satisfied with our products, you may return them within 30 days of receipt for a full refund, excluding shipping & handling. Special order Jeep Scrambler tops are not returnable.
Other Notes:

No cutting or drilling required. Bolt-in design. Made in the USA. Large glass opening on the market for increased visibility.
